Northern Ireland Update #2

Hi again from Coleraine,

This past weekend was a great time of rest for our team. We reflected on the week's VBS stories and crafts and began discussing our book The Reason for God by Tim Keller. We also got the opportunity to be tourists visiting the Mussenden Temple in Castlerock and the city of Londonderry where some of our group visited the murals and others shopped. Now it's the beginning of week two and we are now taking the train to Ballykeel for VBS. The atmosphere is quite different from the one at Juniper Hill. Even after day one, the wee kids have begun to steal our hearts. Our plans continue to change as we face new obstacles and new opportunities. We are so happy that God directs our path and not us. We are now planning on spending a larger chunk of time with the kids instead of going back and forth between the soccer pitch and church. We no longer have breaks between VBS and hanging out with kids later in the day.
Continue to pray for perseverance and energy as we face our first days of Northern Irish weather (RAIN!) and longer days without breaks. Pray that we also continue to grow closer as a team while we share testimonies and dive into the lives of the community.

Audrey, for the team

Thank you for the updates, and the apparent submission to God on every detail. Your renewed energy and focus, has been lifted to the Lord.
