Northern Ireland: Our Last Post...

It's hard to believe that we've made it to August 13th and we only have a few days left. Our access to internet has been limited as it requires a 30 min. walk into town and finding a local coffee shop (or McDonald's) with free wi-fi. All that to say, my apologies for not posting sooner.

The team is doing well though we'll be saying goodbye to Stephanie when she flies out tomorrow morning. (sad day!) We're all a bit tired and looking forward to coming home, but my prayer is that we will soak up and pour ourselves out these final few days. Yesterday turned into quite an adventure as it rained harder than I've ever seen it rain here and all afternoon on top of that. We ended up staying in the house most of the day then heading out to play after supper when the weather had cleared. Probably the highlight of the day was visiting our friend, Bridgene, who had quite a spread for us and kept us laughing late into the evening. We are so well looked after here and it's such a blessing to experience the hospitality and generosity of folks at the church and in the estate.

Please pray for our remaining days here--pouring our hearts out when we're with the kids though our bodies are now weary, enjoying and encouraging each other, good weather on Saturday when we hope to go climb a mountain near the town of Newcastle, and, of course, safe travels home. Thank you for all your support and--if you are a parent--for sending your student to be with us these weeks. This trip has been such a blessing for me and I pray that it has been for the folks here in Northern Ireland and each of our team members as well. We'll see you soon!

Connie, for the team
