The first day of basketball camp went great. We had 12 kids at the morning session and 22 at the afternoon session. We hope to have even more as the week goes on. Also, we had a group of guys come at night to play a few games of basketball. Please pray that we will be able to invest in these guys despite the language barrier.
Tomorrow we will be visiting the Bible Training Center between our sessions. This is where both John and Minori help teach/train Shipibo Indians who are Christian leaders in their villages. The center is the result of the past 18+ years of the Lucas' ministry.
Please pray for endurance as our team is getting pretty worn out in the heat.Thank you for your partnership in the Great Commission.
