Teams in Training: Pucallpa, Peru

In continuation of our partnership with John Lucas and the South American Mission, we will be hosting a basketball camp in Pucallpa, Peru July 31 through August 9. The camp will be an outreach to the local community in service to two local churches: Mil Palmeras (Thousand Palms) and Divino Redentor (Divine Redeemer). We hope to encourage our partners in their efforts to reach out to children and families in the city of Pucallpa.

We plan to visit the Indian Bible Training Center that John and Minori helped establish for the Shipibo people. This ministry helps educate Shipibo believers in the truths of Scripture and trains them to teach the Word to their tribes. As time permits, we will also help with construction projects and other ministry tasks around the missionary compound.

Please pray for our team as they are in the midst of their preparations and support raising to go serve our ministry partners. The team members are: Jimbo Tucker and Ryan DeVilleneuve (leaders), Paul Ebert, Samantha Ebert, Troy Gambrell, Bobby Keim, Bryan Keim, Jeremy Long, Michelle Long, and Jim Tucker.

Also, please pray for our ministry partners in Peru: John and Minori Lucas, their children Amy and Kenji, the staff of Divino Redentor, the staff of Mil Palmeras, and all the missionaries with the South American Mission in Peru.
