When we signed off yesterday we headed to the town of Diosd to take a short walk to help our bodies get used to the time change. We walked around the community where the Paulus Movement community center is located. The houses are small with small yards. The yards resemble a flower garden with beautiful flowers and plants and very little grass. Many homes are fenced in and have dogs as protection (some of which seemed very fierce).
After our walk we ate dinner with Andras and his daughter Esther. Esther was glad to practice her english and we were anxious to ask her questions about teenagers in Hungary. Dinner was at a Greek restaurant and very tasty.
When we returned to the hotel we had our daily devotion and talked about the differences between Hungarian and Americans accepting Christ. The Hungarian culture contemplates every decision carefully, especially when it comes to accepting Christ. It takes several years and much research and discussion for a Hungarian to accept Christ. The overall attitude of our team is that we are glad to serve and hopefully set a Christian example so the missionaries can use us to demonstrate Christ love.
After much needed sleep we ate breakfast which consisted of luncheon type meats, boiled eggs and many cups of coffee. The picture below shows Joe's breakfast. He realized that the Hungarians really understand "moderation" when it comes to food. :)
We are now headed to Lake Balaton for the church retreat. The retreat is much like our Homestead Family Retreat with the major difference being that two thirds of the people attending do not believe in Christ.
Please say a prayer for our team that Christ will use us to set good examples and for our physical strength.
To our families: we miss you and love you so much. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Have been on my knees asking God's strength to be made perfect in weakness. "not that we are adequate to consider anything as coming from ourselves. Our adequacy is in Christ." (forgive the paraphrase). Just praying ya'll depend on His power through you and for Him to accomplish much for all eternity through each of you! Natalie, I pray your health is better! I pray you see God working and have the pleasure of joining Him!! Diane
