Whew. What a day! Just a few bullets:
• up at 4:00 and at the church at 5:00.
• AA was woefully unprepared and it took us well over an hour to get checked in; then TSA was conducting training and took longer than usual to get through security. Fortunately, they held the plane for us.
•Made it to San Diego and got our rentals and met Stephen and their family for a late lunch.
• Upon tracking down lost luggage, found out that our hotel (hostel) reservation was not until SUNDAY. Glory!! (opportunity to be stretched, grow, and challenge our team early!) Prayed for the Lord's provision. FYI: huge convention in town and NO hotel rooms available.
• took everybody back to the Phelan's to orient for the week and work on plans for the evening.
• Had a wonderful time with Stephen hearing about their church, community, and vision.
• We are spread out all over San Diego but the Lord provided beds for every person!
• At dinner Stephen, Erle, and Glenn were able to share the gospel with a homeless man named Johnny. Erle and Glenn are going to pick him up tomorrow and take him to church.
• Everyone is exhausted but finally shutting down for the day.
• Have a full day tomorrow. We are just getting started and look forward to God moving in a big way!
