Wow.
What an amazing last day! God is good. From the morning to the evening we had a great time with our students and were able to see how He is working through the relationships we formed. The Hungarians may be slow to open and slow to speak, but they are not short on gratitude. From flashlights, to cookies, to bottles of wine, the Hungarians we worked with and their families were grateful for the time we had spent with them and we so enjoyed our time with them today. Classes in morning and evening went well. There was an intense frozen t-shirt contest and the morning and a few of the classes then took a walk around Diosd. We had a delicious "funnel cakeish" item in the square downtown. The first hour the class went well tonight for each class and then we brought them all together to sing songs and do a person scavenger hunt. Who would have thought the adults would live the Hokey Pokey so much, but they did. I guess it's because that's what it's all about. Following our evening session kids from the morning and adults from the evening joined with families and we had an "American Style" cook-out. We had hot dogs, Lay's Potato Chips, and dip. Everyone had a lot of fun. One father whose three children were in the morning camp and whose wife was in the evening class brought a few bottles of wine to share. He offered it to Will, a few of us enjoyed some Hungarian wine. He even offered to Clayton, who made the wise decision and declined (with Dad staring at him). We did the Hokey Pokey again and a few other songs and then did a few line dances. It was a great time and was so great to see the Paulus House serve as such a community gathering place. Andras said he only knew a few of the 60-80 people who attended tonight. This is evidence of how word of the Paulus is spreading and how they community has really bought into the work they are doing. We had a debriefing with the Paulus staff after tonight. It was a great opportunity for us to express how thankful we were for their hospitality and leadership. Our entire group will agree that the leadership and future of the Paulus Mission is bright. God is and is going to do amazing things through their work. Praise God! Praise God for this week. We are floored. He has provided in so many ways and we have your prayers and support to thank for this. Wow! This word sums it up. Wow, our God is great. Wow, look what He is doing in Hungary. Wow, we have been blessed by your love. May God give you a wow moment today in your life.
