Spain Wins! - Day 2 Ends
We gathered with the Hungarians to watch the World Cup Final and had some pizza with corn. It was surprisingly delicious. We also had a traditional Hungarian dessert of which I would slaughter the name with cream, chocolate, rum flavor, walnuts, raisins, and sponge cake. Good stuff. It is fun to see Auston Key and Janos's son Benedict become friends. Although neither of them speak a lick of the other's language they spent the whole day together in children's church, roller blading, playing soccer, and watching soccer. I guess we don't need words to have friends. A number of us have commented today on how impressed we are with the leadership at the Paulus Fellowship. They have such a passionate, smart, and engaging group of leaders. We have been truly blessed by them and feel we have made long-lasting friends very quickly. Also met a few Americans today (forgetting names) who work with Campus Crusade and the American Christian School. It was great to talk to Paul (It came to me) and learn of the amazing things that are happening through that ministry in Hungary. Growth has occurred not only through college out reach, but also through a partnership with the Hungarian Department of Education through AIDS prevention education. Really cool to see how the Lord is working there and that is leading to growth in college ministries. God is doing some great things here and we are excited to see what he can do through us this week. Our work starts in the morning. Everything is ready for kids camp, soccer training, and ESL classes for Day 1. Thank you for your prayers. We will keep you posted.
