Saturday Recap
It was a great day. Everyone is tired and actually probably in bed asleep as I write this. After meeting this morning we headed to Budapest and checked out the "Pest" side of the river. "Buda" is the hilly part where we were last night, and "Pest" is the flat (and more touristy) side. We rubbed shoulders with the European elite and strolled down the streets of Budapest enjoying local delicacies (Warning exaggerated sentence). Check out the pictures of Will's adventures. A few of us returned in the afternoon to help Sanyesz with a youth event. We played kickball and baseball and played some icebreakers with a number of students who attended the "Converse" Camp put on by our own MBCC Youth. Great kids. Following kick ball, we went back into Budapest for fancy dinner and luxurious cruise. Dinner was at a mall cafeteria and it was a fine moment to see 10 of our group members end up at McDonald's (a Hungarian specialty). Then we took our boat tour of the Danube with complementary Coca Cola classic. All joking aside, the river boat tour was great, Budapest is beautiful at night. We really enjoyed seeing the parliment, castle, and various churches and monuments at night. It was wonderful and relaxing. We were thankful to have the opportunity. Overall, it was a great day. Everyone is in good spirits and is ready to get to work. Tomorrow we will attend worship service at the Paulus House. Ralph Bishop will be preaching during the service. We are excited about worshiping with our Hungarian brothers and sisters. Following worship service we will have lunch and get ready for Monday in the afternoon. Then we will stop with the rest of the world and watch the World Cup tomorrow evening. Should be a great day, we will let you know how it goes. Thank you for your prayers.
